Edit: I’m an idiot and just repasted the listing on the sight. It was a v6. Shun me in the comments.
And it was okay. Nothing special. But better than I thought. The Camaro was a 2015 6cyl. There was a reason for this... 1. I wanted to see how it would compare with my current car, a 2013 Genesis Coupe. 2. I think, or thought if I’m wrong, it shared the same engine and transmission in the Cadillac ATS . And 3. it was the only manual they had on the lot I was interested in. The Cadillac also had a manual.
The interior. The only good thing about was that it didn’t have cue. The hard plastics... My God. As a comparison to my car, the camaros dash was awful, the seats were better, and there is true merit to the visibility complaints. Though they are quite overblown sometimes. The cabin is CRAMPED and tight. Roof height was perfect for a 6'3 lanky bastard. The best thing about the interior was the touchscreen. It was EXCELLENT. IGN 11/10.
The drive... The transmission, the star of the show. The clutch bites pretty long into the pedal, which I actually like. The shifter was amazing. Has a bit of trouble finding first, but was millennia ahead of Hyundai’s. The engine on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. But the 4 banger is is not as enthusiastic as my Genesis. Which was disappointing. Maybe a tranny swap in the future?!??
The handling... Very very surprised. You could totally track day that car as it stands. I believe it has RS badges on it, not sure if that indicates suspension upgrades, but handled my twisty road just as well as the Genesis. The engine holds it back. Wishing I could afford that v8!
They also had a Z28 there... But I need a couple more promotions over senior analyst to get that
But would I buy it? Yeah. Do I understand why my car is called a Marcus after driving the Camaro? Not at all. I realize most people don’t know what the hell they’re taking about. Now I’ll probably hate mashing the gas on the BRZ I’m gonna test drive.

No such thing as a 2015 2.0T.

Is it a 1.9T?

RIP just remembered he corrected me on that. They had it listed on site with the turbo.

Either a 3.6NA, 6.2NA, 6.2Supercharged or 7.0NA.
Or, 2016.

So what was it?
2016 or 3.6?
![]() 08/11/2016 at 16:57 |

2015 3.6

2015 3.6. Seriously fuck Kinja atm.

If OP said this about any of the above besides the 3.6, GM’s in worse trouble than anyone could imagine:
“The engine on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. But the 4 banger is is not as enthusiastic as my Genesis.”

I’ve driven all types of 2015 and 2016 Camaro for work and I would say that if you can afford the 2016, it’s the one to have. Light years better in every way. Nicer interior, better shifter, WAY better dampers, better NVH. The previous generation was ok when it was new, but that was a long time ago.

It might have seemed like I was raggin on the Camaro, but it was a good car. I’m interested in seeing the 16. You got my excited for another year drive! I’d be able to afford a 2016, so we’ll have to see!

Cadillac does not offer the manual with a V6, only with the Turbo 4.

I confused the Camaro engine with being the turbo. The ATS they had OK the lot was the turbo. The Camaro a six.

I drove one of those too before buying my GTO. I am must happier with a V8 and better interior. I could have had a new car, but personally the car wasn’t enough.

Uhum, qbeezy. Its spelled “Camero”.

Hey, I’ve never driven a Camaro... And I don’t have any interest in one with less than 8 cylinders :)

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I borked it from the description. But the 3.6 didn’t feel like it wanted to do much. Like “meh I’m here, play with the tranny instead.”

We were impressed with our recent press vehicle, a 2016 Camaro RS Convertible with the V6 and a *gasp* automatic. 11/10 on the nav from us too. The V6 had plenty to it. If only we were blissfully unaware of that V8 offering.

I’m looking forward to trying the 2016. I value handling more than power, and the 15 had there handling. Hopefully I can test drive manual and auto.

Yeah, I didn’t think you were hard on it, I’m just really biased! The 2016 is seriously a really nice car. If you like the 15, you’ll probably love the 16!

no worries! And yea, I have a 1LE. It’s not “throw you back in your seat” quick like you get on boost, it’s more like “look down at the speedo and holy shit.” I can’t imagine the V6 being too impressive.

Pleeeeeease go drive a ‘16. The 2.0 and 3.6 V6 in that are pretty awesome. Personally I’d opt for the V6 between those two choices.

Funny thing I just drove the SS. Hot damn

Those two have been ruined. Just drove a 16 SS

Dammit man, now the V6 won't seem so good, you ruined it lol.
